Vice President – AI Specialized Language Model Commercialization
Urbana IQ is seeking a Vice President for AI Specialized Language Model Commercialization to lead their commercialization strategy for Specialized Language Model infrastructure and services. The role involves executing sales strategies, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue outcomes in various verticals.
Responsibilities
Execute and expand Urbana IQ’s commercialization strategy for Specialized Language Model (SpLM) infrastructure and services in defined verticals and/or territories
Convert sovereign-grade AI capacity into contracted revenue
Pre-sell Urbana IQ™ AIaaS / SpLM training, inference, and sovereign data services before node activation
Own vertical/territory revenue outcomes, account strategy, and key relationships
Design and build a focused sales pod for assigned vertical/territory
Define frontline roles (e.g., Directors, Senior Executives, outreach liaisons)
Recruit and develop in-house sales talent aligned with Urbana IQ culture
Implement performance and deal-quality standards consistent with SPV/OpCo economics
Maintain direct accountability for all material opportunities and revenue in scope
Pre-sell Urbana IQ™ AIaaS / SpLM services prior to physical node activation
Secure LOIs, MOUs, MSAs, capacity reservations, and/or revenue guarantees
Translate use cases into GPU, storage, network, sovereignty, and availability requirements
Work with CCO, architecture, and finance to ensure commercial and technical feasibility
Act as primary commercial owner for one or more Urbana IQ verticals (e.g., Sovereign AI, Healthcare, Finance, Energy/Industrial, Manufacturing/Robotics, Media/Knowledge, Enterprise AI firms, Defense/Government)
Map buyer ecosystems, regulatory context, and decision processes
Identify anchor customers and lighthouse projects with multi-node potential
Build repeatable playbooks that can be scaled across additional nodes and markets
Engage C-suite, ministers, CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, heads of innovation, and key technical stakeholders
Structure multi-year, multi-node commercial frameworks within your domain
Build relationships with AI firms, integrators, and strategic partners to onboard to Urbana IQ
Align commercial commitments with deployment plans, SLAs, and node timelines
Own pipeline, forecast, and realized revenue for assigned vertical/territory
Shape pricing and usage structures (within CCO frameworks) for: Subscription tiers, Sovereign and regulatory premiums, Exclusivity and prioritization, Long-term capacity commitments
Ensure every deal supports Urbana IQ platform economics and SPV structures
Provide clear assumptions for underwriting and capital allocation
Represent Urbana IQ and the Founder/CCO with authority in your vertical
Maintain credibility with technical, financial, and political stakeholders
Make autonomous decisions that protect platform integrity while generating material revenue
Qualification
Required
USA Citizen or Lawful permanent residents living in the United States of America ONLY
Documented history as a top earner in commercial roles
Experience closing large, complex, multi-stakeholder deals (enterprise, government, sovereign)
Track record selling non-commodity, first-of-a-kind infrastructure, platforms, or services
Ability to create markets where categories and precedent are weak or absent
Strategic intelligence, strong commercial intuition, and disciplined execution
Mandatory Proof of Income: Candidates must provide documented proof of prior income via a signed verification letter from a licensed accountant or CPA, or copies of the last three (3) years of personal tax returns
Minimum prior income requirement: Documented average personal income of at least USD $300,000 per year over the last three (3) consecutive years, with at least one (1) year at or above USD $500,000 total personal income
Must be fluent enough to sell credibly to engineers, regulators, and ministers
Required understanding (at commercial level): Specialized Language Models (SpLMs) vs general LLMs, AI training vs inference economics and capacity planning, GPU fabrics, storage architectures, and network topology at data-center scale, Data sovereignty, jurisdiction, and regulatory compliance, Federated data-center mesh and multi-node deployments, Platform/IP vs infrastructure ownership and SPV constructs
