Manager, HR (Labor Relations)
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) is a global leader in the design, engineering and production of munitions, energetics, weapons, armaments, and missile subsystems. They are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manager with experience in implementing and monitoring HR programs to support a high-performance culture and diverse workforce, overseeing functions related to talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance.

Responsibilities
Supervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members
Must have any type of one direct report or more
Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
Problem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager
Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment
Supervises human resources functional operations, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance
Administers human resources programs and policies to reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce
Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership
This position will oversee human resources functions of a union workforce
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Supervises human resources functional operations, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance
Administers human resources programs and policies to reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce
Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership
Must have any type of one direct report or more
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Discipline/Major: Human Resources or Business degree preferred
Additional certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR preferred
Human resources union experience preferred
