Associate Director of Marketing
Agate Housing and Services is an organization focused on ending homelessness and relieving hunger through action and advocacy. They are seeking an Associate Director of Marketing to lead internal and external communications, manage branding and messaging, and supervise the External Relations team. The role requires strategic leadership and execution of marketing initiatives, including donor communications, marketing strategy, and team leadership.

Responsibilities
Create and send donor communications, including fundraising appeals, newsletters, event invitations, social media, website, and etc
Engage with cross-functional teams to understand Agate's work and gather stories for storytelling purposes
Execute all graphic design needs, digital communications, social media, and manage relationship with print contractor
Assess and manage Agate brand recognition and reputation
Own internal brand adoption and usage
Proactively seek out good practices and new ideas to increase awareness and support for Agate in the community
Be a leader on the External Relations team, helping create annual plans and goals driving growth for Agate through external support
Attend team meetings and serve as a model of behavior and work ethic to other team members
Serve on the Senior Leadership Team of the organization, attending monthly meetings to review department-level results and discuss organization issues and priorities
Supervise the External Relations Operations Coordinator, ensuring clear accountabilities, performance reviews, and regular check-ins – at least monthly
Take responsibility for cascading accountabilities for their work
Participate in the Supervisory Team at Agate
Qualification
Required
5-7 years of experience
Excellent verbal and written communications
Graphic design
Operates well in team environment
Commitment to Agate Housing and Services' values and mission of ending homelessness and relieving hunger through action and advocacy
Commitment to working towards an anti-racist culture both within Agate Housing and Services and the broader community
Hold the belief that every household can achieve housing stability
Commitment to harm reduction and housing first philosophies
Ability to work respectfully with clients, coworkers, and key stakeholders who are diverse with respect to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and religion
Ability to meet expectations regarding paperwork and documentation through organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately, competency and comfort using technology and computers
Preferred
Preferred experience in a fundraising environment, with Raiser's Edge database, WordPress website content management system, photography, videography
Team work is conducted in English. Additional languages spoken by our clients (Spanish, Amharic, Oromo, Somali, ASL) is highly valued
