Responsibilities
Designs, implements, and evaluates curriculum and programming for Parkview Health’s Medical Assistant (MA) program
Provides quality and effective classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical/externship components
Promotes student success through effective instruction, coaching, and academic guidance
Leads program and curriculum assessment, collaborates with clinical partners, and supports Parkview Health’s mission, vision, and strategic initiatives
Ensures instructional excellence, compliance with accrediting bodies, and alignment with Parkview Health standards and workforce needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Health Science or a related discipline required; Master's degree preferred. All degrees must be from an accredited program
Current Medical Assistant certification required (CMA or RMA)
Must have 5 years' experience working as a CMA or RMA
Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Minimum proficiency with technology i.e. Microsoft Office suite
Utilizes strong communication, organization, and instructional skills
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with diverse learners
Maintains proficiency with educational technology and documentation systems
Preferred
Previous post-secondary teaching experience, including curriculum development, classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical/externship teaching experience preferred
Minimum three years of MA program or clinical coordination experience preferred
