GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled Electronic Quality Measures (eQM) ETL/SQL Engineer to support the management and maintenance of the Veterans Affairs IT infrastructure. This role involves front end web application development, backend web service development, and database support, while ensuring data quality and optimizing performance across systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance complex web applications with thousands of users across the VA
Support the migration of the eQM web application to the Azure cloud
Adhere to data quality best practices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all datasets
Oversee daily operations, monitoring processes to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues
Integrate data from multiple sources, creating unified views that enhance decision-making and insights
Facilitate data distribution, optimize accessibility and usability across relevant systems and stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field
15+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional expertise (or commensurate experience)
Front end web application development (HTML, JavaScript - including Vue, Angular, etc., CSS - including Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.)
Back end web service development (C# / .NET, ORMs, etc.)
Source Control Management and CI/CD (git, github actions)
Database support (SQL, OLAP/MDX)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance

Preferred

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
General web application hosting concepts (IIS, etc.), web security concepts
Experience with third party JS libraries and technologies (npm, webpack, jquery, underscore.js, Google Charts, etc.)
Certifications in relevant technologies
