As a Security Officer - Part-Time Medical Screener in Bronx, NY, you will greet patients, support entry screening procedures, and help maintain orderly flow at checkpoints while conducting routine patrols and documenting security-related concerns.

Responsibilities
Provide customer service to visitors, patients, and staff by following site-specific entry screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct entrance screening activities such as verifying identification, managing visitor access, monitoring access points, and performing bag checks and/or magnetometer screening as required by post orders
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations per protocol
Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned government facility areas, including lobbies, corridors, and perimeter points, as directed by site procedures
Monitor for suspicious behavior and policy violations to help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns, and report findings through required communication channels
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred

CPR certification is preferred
