Responsibilities
Finite Element Model creation, analysis, validation and test correlation in support of spacecraft flight hardware
Collaboration across multiple disciplines (Mechanical, Systems, and Test Engineers)
Execution of simulation workflows in accordance with customer and industry standards
Generation and delivery of reports to managers and senior-level staff
Data analysis and structural/thermal validation from environmental testing
Onsite support for environmental testing of deliverable hardware
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or Related field
Minimum of 2+ years of experience (or 0+ years' experience with a Masters' Degree) analyzing, researching, and developing structural engineering solutions for complex mechanical systems for space applications
Demonstrated software knowledge of ANSYS, Abaqus, or NASTRAN
Demonstrated understanding of structural dynamics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Support work-related travel up to 10% (mostly local)

Preferred
Knowledge of FEA software and theory
Technical knowledge of launch and operational environments and structural design in high vibration environments
Demonstrated ability with ANSYS or Abaqus
Contextual familiarity with design for challenging thermal environments
