Responsibilities

Managing the Hazard Communication (HazCom) Program and SDS Program
Conducting IH exposure assessments and developing plans, including noise assessments
Ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols
Overseeing asbestos management and medical monitoring programs
Administering the Respiratory Protection Program and PPE Program
Conducting incident investigations and preparing reports, while communicating and interacting with regulatory agencies, site personnel, and corporate management
Serve as a trusted advisor and technical resource on occupational safety regulatory compliance matters for OSHA and applicable industry standards managed by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH)

Required

B.S. in a technical discipline such as Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Chemistry, or a related field of study
Ability to achieve Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification within 2 years, as this will be a condition of employment
8 or more years of related experience
Strong communication skills to develop effective working relationships with site management, employees, and the EHS community to drive continuous improvement in industrial hygiene performance
Strong organizational and analytical skills to conduct required testing and monitoring, prepare necessary OS/IH reports, and represent the site and BASF at meetings with federal and state regulatory agencies
Able to travel up to 15%, domestically
