Acquisition Strategy/Acquisition Planning Mid-Level
Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P) is a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. They are seeking a mid-level Acquisition Strategist/Planner to support acquisition planning and development for the DDG 51 ARLEIGH BURKE Class Guided Missile Destroyer program, managing records and developing strategies for procurement.

Responsibilities
Assist in the development of DDG 51 program acquisition strategies and in developing required plans, concept papers, white papers, and senior level briefings
Provide support for associated action and milestone planning and tracking, project planning and progress, program metrics, and tracking
Participate in designated meetings and milestone reviews
Plan and execute DoD multiyear procurement (MYP) statutory and regulatory requirements and timelines
In support of DDG 51 MYP planning, develop and implement an internal MYP review and execution schedule to support acquisition and contract milestones, including a timeframe for applicable PMS 400D branches, NAVSEA 05, and other stakeholders to review and provide comments on milestones
Plan and support MYP reading sessions, PM reviews, and any ad-hoc meetings, if applicable, and serve as the Navy's point of contact providing guidance and schedule adherence for all reviews
Manage Acquisition Records: Provide detailed management of acquisition records to ensure accuracy and compliance
Business Research Analysis: Conduct thorough business research to support acquisition strategies and decisions
Valuation Strategies: Develop and implement valuation strategies to assess the value of acquisition targets and projects
Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks related to the acquisition process to support smooth operations
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all acquisition activities comply with relevant standards and regulations and maintain proper documentation
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on acquisition activities
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of acquisition management
Support Acquisition Planning: Assist in planning and executing acquisition projects to meet organizational goals
Qualification
Required
5-7 years of professional experience in acquisition management
DoD Major Capability Acquisition experience
Experience in ship acquisition programs
Bachelor's Degree in any related field
Demonstrated familiarity with DoD/DoN acquisition procedures and policy (DoD 5000 process)
Hold or be able to obtain an active DoD SECRET security clearance
