Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location
Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions per post orders
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including interior corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes as applicable
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing traffic flow, verifying credentials when directed, and reporting irregular activity to the appropriate contacts
Complete required reports and logs, communicate clearly with onsite teams and/or dispatch, and support security-related operations during medical emergencies, visitor issues, and other time-sensitive events
Qualification
Required
Hospital vaccines are required
Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

CPR and/or First Aid may be completed post hire and is preferred
CPR certification may be completed post hire and is preferred
