Responsibilities
Be a member of Tesla’s storage team that is responsible for providing archive storage and bucket moving capabilities for Tesla’s on-prem object storage, while leveraging the AWS S3 API
Help manage large-scale data (exabytes) on multiple types of storage devices
Develop server software using Rust
Deploy code that will be used by thousands of servers with high availability requirements
Help implement database migrations with zero downtime
Work on improving performance of database queries
Debug and define new database schemas
Qualification
Required
Understanding of modern object storage APIs (specifically AWS S3 API)
Strong knowledge of databases (Postgres is a plus)
Strong software development experience, and experience working on large-scale projects
Comfortable implementing database migrations with zero downtime (i.e., when transitioning between critical dependencies)
Experience implementing sharding and partitioning
