Responsibilities

Performing a variety of software engineering tasks in one or more areas of the assigned areas such as software development, software quality engineering, software testing, DevOps, cybersecurity, software release, support and maintenance, and/or release management, with limited supervision
Testing and troubleshooting the final system setup and ensuring its successful rollout through training and retraining the customers and providing subsequent ongoing support and services
Ensuring that all required resources are in place to implement software on-time and on-budget
Contributing to the software product roadmap and portfolio through suggesting new features, functionality, and variants

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, with a focus on software development, automation systems, or engineering application design with minimum 2–3 years of experience in software development and system integration, delivering full‑stack or service‑oriented solutions with measurable impact utilizing C#, .NET
Experienced in Windows and Linux software development, with the ability and willingness to learn new languages and technologies as needed
Collaborative and innovative, working effectively with cross‑functional teams to continuously improve system quality, reliability, and development efficiency
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

Preferred

C, Python, RESTful API design, databases, and CI/CD pipelines, with strong understanding of tools and frameworks used in engineering systems, automation, and R&D software development
