Responsibilities
Represent clients before the Chicago Immigration Court and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
Maintain regular communication with clients, clearly explaining complex immigration issues and strategic options
Conduct legal research and provide thorough legal analysis to determine case strategies and available relief
Oversee, review, and manage immigration filings, including applications, petitions, and waivers submitted to EOIR, USCIS, and ICE
Draft, review, and file legal briefs and motions in a wide range of immigration matters
Collaborate with the legal team to ensure high-quality representation and case outcomes
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law and in good standing
1–5 years of immigration law experience
Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written)
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
Demonstrated commitment to immigration law and client advocacy
