Responsibilities
Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government healthcare location by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal staff and/or public emergency services as needed
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by location
Monitor access points and assist with access control activities such as checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized visitors to the correct destinations
Complete security-related reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate status updates to supervisors and site representatives
Qualification
Required
Vaccines are required for this hospital site
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire
A guard card and/or security license is preferred
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire
Customer service experience is preferred
