Vice President, Business Development

Responsibilities
Partner with executive leadership in ongoing strategic planning for new and existing commercial projects
Helps to review and improve existing business development and sales process leading to increased effectiveness and efficiency
Provides direct oversight to business development (BD) team and leverages strong coaching and training skills to support the BD organization
Responsible for successful execution of commercial strategy of ConGlobal in accordance with the business plan, or, if more relevant, current market conditions
Develop exceptionally strong understanding / become well-versed in each business line, platform, and value proposition (includes core operations and technology enabled systems and processes)
Manages the development of sustainable customer acquisition plans and business cases to maximize business and profit growth, including identifying and creating a pool of potential sales opportunities and clients, collecting, and analyzing competitive intelligence within specific segments, developing long-term plans/processes, and ensuring alignment with strategic business development directions
Identify specific BCO leads. Then, identify the lead’s specific supply chain challenges, and develop strategies comprised of our core and technology product offerings to address those challenges to enhance business development and profitable growth for the organization
Manages the creation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials
Lead negotiations and facilitate execution of agreements and contracts within the financial parameters set forth by the company
Develop communication strategies and work collaboratively with internal teams to integrate new business plans into ongoing operations
Providing business intelligence regarding new customers to facilitate a seamless transition into the company
Establish strong relationships with new and existing development, supply chain, and technology partners and work to secure growth for mutual benefit
Qualification
Required
15 years business development experience with a proven track record of developing relationships from scratch and closing deals
Strategic thinker who is capable of driving decision making with experience in influencing senior level stakeholders
Ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of an organization, including executives and senior level management
Analytical problem-solving skills and can be effective in a fast paced, hands-on work environment, with a track record of successfully leading projects and developing complex solutions across multiple stakeholders
Knowledgeable about and/or experience to quickly assess industry trends and headwinds, market opportunities, and the competitive landscape
Proven expertise in working and negotiating with stakeholders across organizational lines to foster collaborative relationships and partnerships
Financial knowledge in the areas of profit and loss, budget management, bid models, pro forma, investment returns, etc
Ability to travel 50% of the time or more as needed
