User Experience (UX) Designer

Responsibilities
Bridge the gap between research insights and tangible concepts using these insights to drive optimal design outcomes and user experiences
Craft meaningful narratives that justify design approaches and demonstrate value-add and KPIs that inform design decisions
Contribute to the vision and strategy of interaction design principles across the enterprise, collaborating with product and engineering stakeholders to gather requirements
Utilize and suggest components to the Design Language System (DLS) to ensure consistent and cohesive design across products and platforms
Create and test mockups and prototypes, validating design choices based on research and functional requirements
Suggest features/components to guide product development
Collaborate with UX Architects to design wireframes and mockups from user flow diagrams and data to visualize intuitive user journeys
Simplify complex systems and large volumes of data/content into easily understandable prototypes and recommendations
Collaborate fluidly with developers to ensure accurate design implementation
Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity
Qualification
Required
AA degree in Interaction/Visual/UX Design, Interactive Media, Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Digital Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field of study, or equivalent work or military experience
4 years of relevant industry experience
Experience working with existing style guides or creating basic style guides from well-defined requirements
Experience working on how the visual perception of a design impacts usability
Experience designing for multiple touchpoints and types of media
Experience designing synthesized input from a range of sources, including workshops, corporate guides, current trends, and platform guidelines
Experience creating and testing interactive prototypes and documenting interaction guidelines
Experience designing wireframes, user flow diagrams, and application maps
Experience refining concepts into meaningful narratives that speak to business opportunities, technical feasibility, and organization setup
Demonstrated ability to turn basic concepts (e.g., Trust) into interface elements and designs
Demonstrated understanding of UI best practices and patterns for successful interaction
Demonstrated understanding of human-computer interaction principles
Fluent in common design software (e.g., Axure, Figma, Invision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
Experience with Design System software, (e.g., Zeroheight)
Experience with Visual Communication software such as Visio and OmniGraffle
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace
Ability to cultivate and sustain strong cross-functional working relationships with key partners in product and engineering
Sound analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to apply research and testing data and apply to design activities
Sound facilitation, presentation / storytelling, communication, and interpersonal skills to convey complex recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
Collaborative and team-oriented attitude
Ability to use compelling arguments to influence and gain the support and commitment of others
Ability to effectively respond to rapidly shifting priorities, change, and adoption in new ways of working
Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members
Preferred
Design Program certification, e.g., NN/g, Coursera
Experience with analysis tools (Hotjar or similar)
Experience with JIRA
Experience with Miro
Experience applying accessibility principles to designs (508, WCAG)
Familiarity with HTML and front-end development practices
Familiarity with working in an Agile environment
