Responsibilities
Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location
Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification and credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing deliveries to designated check-in areas
Monitor security-related systems and equipment such as CCTV, alarms, and access control panels, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues per post orders
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting events, and supporting first responders as directed
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify conditions that may require attention
Qualification
Required
Have 1 or more years of security experience
Be 21 or more years of age
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
