Warehouse Manager

The Sanneh Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering youth and improving lives through various community programs. The Warehouse Manager will oversee all nutritional services programming at the Snelling Warehouse, manage fleet logistics, and ensure proper inventory management and food safety during distributions.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate Nutritional Services building and transportation fleet maintenance, reporting, compliance, and safety
Responsible for accurate records of maintenance and proper working order of all Sanneh equipment and fleet usage
Oversee drivers as they pick up a wide variety of donated products from grocery stores, restaurants, farmers, caterers, etc. on regular recurring routes in a safe and an efficient manner
Adjust route accordingly to maximize time, meet the needs of our participants and our partner agencies
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Memorandums concerning facility safety compliance, and cleanliness and offer insight and updates as needed
Monitor drivers performing vehicle pre-trip inspections every morning for vehicle maintenance and safety. Complete required logs/reports pertaining to vehicles and route/delivery information
Ensure drivers conduct post-trip inspections for vehicle maintenance and safety. Complete required logs/reports pertaining to vehicles
Ensuring all products and deliveries are properly stored in the warehouse in a structured and order manner
Maintain all transit health safety guidelines set forth by the MN Dept. of Health, as well as various contracted service partners at all times
Follow DOT regulations and safety standards, train in Drivers to do the same
Complete or ensure accurate reports for donations/orders received and donations/orders delivered on a daily basis and provide this documentation to designated staff in tracking through inventory software or suites
Oversee driver and warehouse staff to properly inventory and stock product including discarded product logs, daily inventory and reallocations as specified by NSD
Load, unload, and stock product. This position is physically demanding and requires repeated lifting of up to 50 pounds
Maintain inventory of supplies and materials needed for department, creating purchase requests and working with NSD for special requests of staff
Supporting Advancement and Finance teams in tracking orders and Nutritional Services grants for reporting purposes
Act as first contact during warehouse packing days, ensuring proper food safety requirements are followed during packing and food distribution events and training volunteers and coordinators for duties of the day
Monitoring the inventory and communicating any needs with appropriate staff. Acting as Manager in absence of Nutritional Services Manager on-site for food distributions
Provide excellent customer service and communication to participants, donors, and partner agencies (grocery stores, restaurants, farmers, caterers, schools, churches, senior centers, etc.) including a timely response to phone calls and emails
Assist in setting up tables, tents, and materials for food distribution, ensuring safety protocols are followed
Escalate any partner inquiries or updates to the NS Department Manager, following proper communication protocols, looping in Operations Director when necessary
Driving and supporting for pickups and deliveries, as needed

Required

GED or two (2) years work experience
Ability to communicate positively with a diverse community
Cooperative team member who can also work well independently
Possess problem-solving skills
Proficient in Google Calendar and Google Sheets
Forklift Operating Certification
Experience working with diverse populations
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Results-driven and skilled in continuous improvement processes
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
Emotional maturity and adaptability to workload demand(s) and requests are required
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if necessary
Ability to utilize complete discretion while handling confidential and sensitive information

Preferred

Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong Preferred
Food Shelf or Food or Retail Experience
Community service or direct service volunteer work
Robust understanding of the holistic needs of the community
A valid Minnesota driver's license and reliable transportation
