Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, buy off and support installation of equipment required for production
Develop training materials and plans for team members in support of Group Leaders
Support production lines and associated team members
Perform line balance activities for new model, take up/down
Support a continuous improvement program to ensure corporate success
Plan/design and implement tools, production aids, assist devices, etc. that are required for production
Evaluate, plan and implement new model launches including equipment, tooling, process sheets, and work instructions
Lead problem solving activities in the production environment to ensure quality products including development of short/long term countermeasures
Develop, implement, and follow countermeasures on annual plan in support of corporate goals/targets
Analyze trend data to develop, implement, and follow-up with countermeasures to existing production concerns using available indicators
Develop, implement and follow-up a proactive ergonomics program in production
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in a similar field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Possess strong self-responsibility
Strong planning and organizational skills
Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and effective decision-making
Ability to perform multi-tasks with multiple priorities within a designated time frame
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in making recommendations, exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions
Preferred
Experience with SAP system preferred
