SOCIAL MEDIA Digital Assistant
The Puerto Rican Cultural Center is committed to celebrating inclusion and diversity, and they are seeking a Social Media Digital Assistant. This role involves creating and managing social media content, supporting outreach efforts, and contributing to the organization's communication strategies.

Responsibilities
Implements and contributes to an effective targeted outreach social media plan as per the Assistant Social/Digital Media Director
Posts and helps produce culturally, linguistically, and age-appropriate content to increase public awareness of The PRCC services and philosophy
Maintains a social media presence (e.g.: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
Helps produce La Voz newspaper, posting La Voz stories on the website and social media
Monitors key performance indicators for social/digital/written media
Stays up to date with social/digital media developments
Creates, designs, writes, contributes articles, and distributes PRCC newsletters
Assists in video recording and photographing organizational events
Attends the PRCC and program-specific and organizational activities and meetings, including but not limited to the monthly organization-wide General Assembly
Participates in organizational annual events, including but not limited to the Puerto Rican People’s Parade, Fiesta Boricua, Three Kings Day, and Haunted Paseo Boricua
Performs other functions assigned
Qualification
Required
Experience working with social media, journalism or relevant field
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
Works independently with a strong sense of focus, task-oriented, non-judgmental, open personal qualities, and clear sense of boundaries
Experience on Macintosh proficient, Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, and WordPress
High school diploma or GED
Preferred
Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
