Assistant Director of Outreach Programming
Clark University is seeking an Assistant Director of Outreach Programming to develop, organize, implement and evaluate outreach programming for the student body, faculty, and staff. This role involves providing mental health counseling services, guiding outreach efforts, and collaborating with various campus stakeholders to enhance student success and mental health awareness.

Develop, organize, implement and evaluate outreach programming for the student body, faculty and staff
Provide guidance and support to CPG staff regarding outreach programming with a focus on prevention, education, and stigma reduction
Develop innovative approaches for creating a community environment that is conducive to positive mental health and student success
Extend services beyond clinical care to the entire campus community through workshops, events, and collaborations
Participate on committees, collaborate and consult with administrators, faculty and students on issues/programs related to the student experience on campus
Provide direct clinical mental health counseling services to enrolled students in both undergraduate and graduate schools, including: individual and group counseling; case management; crisis intervention; and on-call duties with the other professional counseling staff on a rotating basis
Provide psycho-educational training and clinical support to graduate trainees
Qualification
Required
Master's or doctoral degree in a mental health discipline (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work, or related clinical field) with independent licensure in Massachusetts (LICSW, LMHC, PsyD/PhD), or license eligibility within one year
At least 1 year of post-master's clinical experience in a college counseling center, including intake, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and on-call services
Experience developing and implementing mental health outreach programming and collaborating with campus partners to support student success
Knowledge and experience in trauma-informed care and a strong understanding of the developmental and mental health needs of college students
Experience mentoring and supervising students or graduate trainees, including providing clinical supervision and feedback
Experience using Titanium or a comparable EMR for scheduling, case notes, and documentation, and proficiency with standard workplace technologies (e.g., Microsoft Outlook and Teams)
Certified QPR gatekeeper instructor (or willingness to obtain within one year of hire)
Preferred
Skills in using Canva or similar tools to create outreach/educational materials
Experience facilitating peer education or student-led mental health initiatives
Collaboration with counseling centers at peer institutions to remain current with professional practices in college mental health counseling
