Joint Ventures Accountant

They are seeking a Joint Ventures Accountant who will own the end-to-end accounting and reporting processes for assigned joint venture entities and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end accounting and reporting processes for your assigned joint venture entities
Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting, quarterly reporting packages, and annual financial statements for joint venture arrangements
Manage and execute joint venture distributions, including calculation, recording, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end close process for both joint ventures and corporate accounting activities
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances
Prepare variance analyses and financial commentary to support management review
Record miscellaneous corporate journal entries and support ad hoc accounting projects as needed
Develop and maintain close calendars and monthly project plans to ensure timely and accurate financial close
Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, and fixed and intangible assets, including depreciation and amortization where applicable
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to gather information, improve processes, and ensure accurate reporting
Prepare, review, and distribute financial reports for management
This position is an in-office role requiring regular on-site presence

Required

Experience conducting actual to budget/forecast analysis
Experience with monthly, quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
Experience recording monthly journal entries, accruals, reclasses, etc
Experience with debt reconciliation
1-2+ two years of relevant experience
Proficient financial system skills with an emphasis on Excel, SmartView
Superb attention to detail
Nimble problem solver who enjoys complex challenges
Demonstrates quality customer service, teamwork, and cultural fit

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
Workday Financials experience a plus
