IT Support Specialist

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and upgrade software and hardware components (Windows, Mac, and peripheral devices)
Assist with basic network and endpoint administration (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, antivirus, VPN)
Support and maintain Rhombus’ internal computer networks, ensuring uptime and security
Provide day-to-day technical support to employees (in-person and remote), troubleshooting IT-related issues
Document common issues and educate employees on network security, system maintenance, and best practices for cybersecurity
Manage user accounts across core business systems, including access, groups, and email support (mail flow, spam filtering, etc.)
Regularly assess and evaluate IT systems to ensure optimal performance and alignment with company goals
Follow and support data backup, recovery, and security best practices to maintain a reliable IT environment
Perform light physical tasks such as installing cabling or equipment, including use of ladders and power tools when necessary

Required

1–3 years of experience in an IT support or similar role, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
User administration experience with cloud-based platforms and services (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365)
Proficiency in managing Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems
Familiarity with networking and endpoint security solutions (firewalls, antivirus, VPN)
Working knowledge of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused, service-oriented approach
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Preferred

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Azure Administrator are a plus
