Responsibilities
Independently furnish all personnel and resources to manage client’s infrastructure, covering everything from mainframe and server maintenance to web-based application upgrades and networking
Execute clients's Task Area 5 objectives, including infrastructure optimization, backup/recovery, data validation, security vulnerability monitoring, and ensuring full USGv6 technical compliance
Support the Biospecimen Database and Web Portal for researchers and staff, ensuring the system scales to handle increasing users and complex data like 2D/3D imaging
Manage seamless 'Transition In' and 'Transition Out' plans to prevent mission-critical disruptions, requiring staff with relevant certifications and at least four years of experience
Provide project management, technical support, and training for the Biospecimen Database and Web Portal to ensure smooth operations for all program staff and stakeholders
Maintain security, optimize database performance, and refine search engines and request fulfillment workflows to enhance overall process efficiency
Facilitate data uploads for repositories (BTRs), inventory access for researchers, and portal/metric management for program staff
Manage a flexible system capable of expanding in user volume and data complexity, specifically accommodating 2D and 3D imaging and increased specimen records

Required

System Maintenance & Security: Execute clients's Task Area 5 objectives, including infrastructure optimization, backup/recovery, data validation, security vulnerability monitoring, and ensuring full USGv6 technical compliance
Stakeholder Support & Growth: Support the Biospecimen Database and Web Portal for researchers and staff, ensuring the system scales to handle increasing users and complex data like 2D/3D imaging
Lifecycle Continuity: Manage seamless 'Transition In' and 'Transition Out' plans to prevent mission-critical disruptions, requiring staff with relevant certifications and at least four years of experience
