Marketing Coordinator
Texas State University is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support the Department of Housing & Residential Life’s recruitment and branding strategies. The role involves designing and implementing marketing strategies, managing social media content, and supervising student employees while ensuring alignment with the university's brand strategy.

Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate, and evaluate engaging content for social media platforms to enhance departmental engagement
Manage HRL’s social media presence, collaborating on a comprehensive strategy and campaigns with university communicators and stakeholders
Create, edit, and schedule social media content, ensuring alignment with departmental initiatives
Produce visual assets (photography, video) for social media use
Maintain and manage the social media content calendar, ensuring that content supports key initiatives within the Division of Student Success
Assist in creating presentations and facilitating training sessions for professional and student staff members on marketing and social media content
Conceptualize and design graphics that adhere to Texas State brand guidelines
Create digital content for social media, websites, and digital screens, including copywriting and design
Ensure consistency in digital communications, focusing on branding, accessibility, and user experience best practices
Attend events to gather digital collateral for various communications
Manage a shared content library, including photos and templates, to support team initiatives
Oversee multiple marketing projects with varying timelines, utilizing appropriate resources for successful completion
Maintain and support departmental websites, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and Texas State University branding
Coordinate the publication of new content and updates to existing content, including events, news, and announcements on the HRL website
Write and update website content to effectively communicate with a non-technical audience
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student staff to support departmental activities
Hire, train, schedule, and direct supervisees through continuous feedback and task assignments to ensure expectations are met
Represent Texas State University and HRL at presentations and events, engaging with parents, students, faculty, and other stakeholders
Actively participate in departmental programs and projects that support the department and institution mission and goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, or a closely related field
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro
Experience with photography, video production, and editing
Experience working in marketing, communications, or graphic design-related fields
Preferred
Full-time experience working in a marketing position
Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com & Hootsuite
Experience with marketing strategies and content creation
Experience with website management
Experience with supervising and leading a team
Experience working in a higher education setting
