Responsibilities
Operate heavy complex motorized equipment over 100,000 pounds as well as common and precision power and hand tools to perform skilled duties to complete site maintenance
Inspect and check equipment before and after use, perform minor maintenance activities, report issues and problems to leadership immediately
Ensure site is compliant with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality rules and regulations
Assist and respond to customer issues; notify leadership immediately if not able to resolve concerns
Assist in training new crewmembers
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
One (1) year experience in heavy equipment operator, or related field
Must have and maintain a valid Class “C” Driver's License and valid state required minimum automobile liability insurance prior to employment
Must pass a drug test, driver's license check, criminal history background check, and social security number verification
Must pass a physical examination
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
Knowledge of maintenance and repair of heavy equipment
Knowledge of basic equipment and appropriate usage of tools and equipment, per to department/division
Skill in identifying moderate problems and implement solutions
Skill in providing exceptional service to internal and external customers
Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships
Ability to communicate effectively, both in oral and written forms, for the needs of the audience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to manage multiple work tasks while balancing competing priorities with attention to detail and in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing work environment to facilitate/accomplish needed activities
Ability to document all adjustments necessary and approved to complete the project
Ability to read, understand, and follow safety protocols and safe work procedures
