They are seeking a Production and Procurement Engineer who will be responsible for identifying and selecting qualified suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, and implementing procurement strategies to improve production workflows.

Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate and select qualified suppliers for specific components, materials or services
Review engineering specs, and project requirements to ensure procured items meet technical standards
Monitor supplier performance, resolve quality/delivery issues, and develop strategies for continuous improvement
Implement and drive procurement strategies to meet cost savings targets and improve production workflows
Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions
Manage and take quality control measures to ensure that product specifications are met
Develop and maintain documentation for production processes, standard operating procedures and quality standards
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and process-related issues on the production floor
Implement quality measures to ensure finished products meet internal standards and customer expectations
Identify opportunities for cost savings related to materials, equipment and operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering field required
5 plus years' experience in procurement and/or production
Strong negotiation skills
Advanced experience working in MS Excel required
Self-starter w/ excellent analytical and organizational skills
Must be detailed oriented
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
Preferred
Experience w/ Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
