Donor Data and Systems Manager
The Griffin Museum of Science and Industry is the largest and most interactive science museum in the Western Hemisphere. The Donor Data and Systems Manager is responsible for managing donor data, including reporting, analytics, data integrity, and integration of data from other databases, along with team management responsibilities related to gift processing and financial reconciliation.

Responsibilities
Maintain accurate donor data, including data entry, gift processing, list generation, statistical reports, analysis, and donor receipts
Support the organization with detailed analysis and concise reporting/dashboards leveraging multiple data sets. Create ad hoc reports and analysis as required in a timely manner
Leverage constituent data to support the organization's goals; efficiently capture and manage data
Build relationships and work with External Affairs, IT, and Finance team members and other Museum teams to drive collaboration and communication on data projects and systems
Review gift reconciliation within the department and Finance team monthly
Develop and maintain dynamic team-based and database policies and procedures
Partner with IT to assist in managing the database and systems to ensure all confidentiality and security standards as it relates to donor data are followed; ensure compliance with the Museum's policies and procedures around data including familiarity with PCI and PII compliance
In collaboration with department leadership, maintain relationships with applicable vendors
Coordinator data management from the Museum's database across other software
Identify opportunities for process and system improvement to increase efficiency and improve the quality of External Affairs data
Oversee the electronic filing systems related to database records including gift and membership documentation
Serve as a contact for internal and external sources for gift transactions
Oversee the External Affairs Services Portal and Data Request Portal related to constituent data
Research and follow-up as required for reconciliations and discrepancies and maintain a thorough understanding of database content
Respond to queries for the annual audit
Maintain individual and organizational records
Develop and perform routine processes and audits to ensure accuracy, quality assurance, and data integrity

Qualification
Required
Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience with nonprofit development (fundraising) system and operation functions with at least 3 years' experience managing a team
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize is required
Experience distinguishing between various donor and gift types
Ability to build complex queries
Familiarity with development-specific data, including understanding of gifts, memberships, notes, queries, and exports
Experience working in a variety of fundraising systems required; knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
Strong MS Office skills, including expert-level Excel capabilities
Ability to gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports
Skilled leader capable of fostering effective working relationships within a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; strong customer service skills required
Demonstrates proper mailing and letter-writing etiquette in all professional correspondence
Ability to support occasional special events during evenings or weekends
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization
Ability to calculate basic mathematical figures and amounts
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and taste or smell
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions; cold; and heat
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
