, Relocation Specialist (Grant Funded)
The Office of the State's Attorney for Baltimore City is seeking a Relocation Specialist to assist victims and witnesses in need of relocation services. The role involves conducting assessments, facilitating relocations, and maintaining records related to the relocation process.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Interview and assess the needs of victims and witnesses as it pertains to relocation and services
Work closely with Baltimore City Police Department to conduct threat assessments
Facilitate emergency temporary and permanent relocation of victims and witnesses
Accompany members of the Baltimore City Police Department Witness Relocation Unit on safe house checks
Arrange for transportation to and from appointments and court appearances when necessary
Obtain and review police reports and criminal background checks
Assist the staff of the Victim Witness reception room to answer phones, sign in victims and any other day to day tasks
Maintain records on the expenses associated with relocation
Maintain monthly statistics for VOCA grant
Any other duties that fall within the Victim Witness Division
Qualification
Required
Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or at least two years' of equivalent work-related experience
Applicants should possess the ability to work in a high-volume environment
The ideal candidate should be able to interact professionally with attorneys, victims and witnesses
Have the ability to multitask
Have exceptional organizational skills
Have a positive attitude
Be able to work independently
Demonstrate enthusiasm to learn new ideas and concepts
Selected candidates will be subject to drug and alcohol testing and a criminal background check before starting employment

Preferred majors include criminal justice, paralegal studies, social work, or a related field
