Patient Service Representative (Scheduling)
Medix is partnering with a specialty multi-clinic practice in Houston to hire a Patient Service Representative (PSR) for their scheduling team. The role requires strong customer service skills to handle inbound calls, schedule appointments, and assist patients in accessing care.

Responsibilities
Handle a high volume of inbound calls from patients
Schedule medical appointments across multiple physicians and clinic locations
Review provider schedules and identify appropriate appointment availability
Answer patient questions regarding appointments, providers, and clinic processes
Perform insurance verification
Actively listen to patient needs and provide clear, empathetic support
Resolve scheduling challenges independently
Demonstrate a problem-solving mentality-escalating only when truly necessary
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in a call center or high-volume phone environment
Strong customer service skills with a patient-focused mindset
Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently at a desk for extended periods
Resourceful problem-solver who can handle difficult calls without immediately transferring them to management
High school diploma
2+ years of experience in a call center environment
Ability to work fully onsite
Preferred
Healthcare scheduling or medical office experience
Insurance verification experience
