Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Systems Engineer

The role involves serving as a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) specialist on advanced missile programs, driving the development and execution of the MBSE vision and collaborating with various engineering teams to create and maintain digital system models.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain system models in Cameo Systems Modeler to represent system requirements, architecture, interfaces, behavior, risks and verification activities for missile systems
Support all MBSE artifact efforts, defining modeling standards, processes, and toolchains to support the full systems engineering lifecycle
Facilitate or support customer reviews by generating any necessary model-based elements for requirements allocation, system design, CONOPS, and verification planning
Perform as-needed model-based trade studies, interface management, and traceability analysis to ensure requirements flow-down and design integrity
Support the incorporation of documentation into MBSE models that are sourced from other engineering disciplines and external stakeholders
Conduct model reviews, identify inconsistencies or gaps through manual review, simulation and analysis, and implement corrective actions
Generate and maintain MBSE documentation, including system architecture descriptions, interface control documents (ICDs), and verification plans
Interface directly with DoW customers, suppliers, and company leadership to align modeling efforts with program needs and milestones
Qualification
Required
2–7 years of systems engineering experience in aerospace/defense, with significant focus on model-based approaches
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Cameo Systems Modeler
Broad systems engineering experience, including requirements management, system architecture/design, CONOPS development, and verification planning
Proven ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environments and lead small SE efforts
Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently execute tasks and drive progress
U.S. citizenship and current Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain one)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Preferred
Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field
OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification
Experience in Product Line Engineering or similar processes
Experience in missile systems, guidance/navigation, or defense/aerospace programs
