This role requires a hands-on accounting professional to manage the entire accounting function and work closely with ownership and executive leadership.

Responsibilities
Serve as the sole accounting and finance lead, owning the accounting function end-to-end
Manage and execute all aspects of the monthly close process, including review and preparation of journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee cash, banking, and credit card activity across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy, controls, and timely reporting
Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and operational reporting
Manage AP, AR, cash flow, and vendor payments across all locations
Oversee payroll coordination and labor cost reporting
Maintain and strengthen internal controls, processes, and documentation
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in partnership with leadership
Track location-level performance, margins, and KPIs
Coordinate with external CPA firm on tax filings, audits, and year-end close
Support new location openings from an accounting and systems perspective
Serve as the primary financial point of contact for ownership and investors related to the brand
Qualification
Required
4+ years of progressive accounting experience
Comfortable operating as a stand-alone accounting professional with minimal day-to-day oversight
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient; able to prioritize and execute independently
Strong understanding of GAAP and operational accounting
Preferred
Experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit operations strongly preferred
Prior experience as an Accounting Manager, Controller, or senior individual contributor owning the full accounting function strongly preferred
