New Grad, Entry LevelVensure Employer Solutions is seeking a Fiber Splicer responsible for splicing, testing, installation, and maintenance of fiber optic cables. This role involves ensuring reliable telecommunications and broadband services while working with specialized equipment and collaborating with project teams.

Responsibilities
Will splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects
Will inspect and assess fiber optic installations, identifying and repairing faults or deficiencies
Will use specialized equipment such as a fusion splicing machine and optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR) to ensure proper cable functionality and alignment
Conduct post - splicing testing to verify signal strength and identify any potential issues
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to ensure successful project delivery
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations while performing all tasks with or without supervision
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or high school equivalency diploma
Prior experience in telecommunications
Must possess a valid US driver's license
Solid knowledge of fiber optics technologies, systems and troubleshooting methods
Proficiency with fiber splicing tools and equipment
Strong understanding of fiber optic cables, connectors, and the splicing process
Strong attention to detail and patience
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics
Ability to work in outdoor environments, sometimes in challenging conditions such as wind, rain, cold temperatures, hot temperatures, and snow
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, based on project and business needs
Must wear PPE as required
