Assistant Director of Perioperative Services
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Perioperative Services. The role involves assisting the Executive Director in managing all aspects of Perioperative Services, ensuring compliance with best practices, and participating in budget development and quality assurance.

Responsibilities
Developing priorities, goals, and action plans to ensure that Cabell Huntington Hospital Perioperative Services is the place of choice for their health care services
Assessing compliance to best nursing practice and clinical performance; intervening to ensure that patient care outcomes are individualized and that the best outcomes are achieved
Actively participating in ensuring that all practices are in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Assisting in the oversight of daily operations of all departments within Perioperative Services
Managing & addressing staffing concerns timely, collaborating on resource utilization, and resolving performance concerns in partnership with internal and external managers
Assisting in achieving the organization’s mission by effectively working in collaboration with the Executive Director, Operations Managers, Supervisors, Surgeons, Registered Nurses, Surgical Technicians, OR Sterile Technicians, Supply Team Leaders and Technicians, Scheduling Secretaries, OR Attendants, Patient Care Assistants, and other perioperative Support Personnel
Taking the leadership role in organizational development, change management, operational excellence, employee engagement, strategic alignment, healthy work environment, patient satisfaction and physician engagement
Growing services which are consistently recognized for achieving outstanding results in the following areas: Strategic vision; Clinical excellence; Personal accountability; Win-win collaboration; Effective relationships; Talent management & employee recognition; Project & team leadership and Process & system improvement & efficiency
Qualification
Required
Effective management of all aspects of Perioperative Services
Developing priorities, goals, and action plans
Assessing compliance to best nursing practice and clinical performance
Intervening to ensure individualized patient care outcomes

Service excellence (patient experience)
