Program Director (LICSW/LPC)

Responsibilities

Provide oversight for client treatment and provide clinical support, as needed
Provide coaching for Crisis Counselors and support on clinical care issues
Review client plans and incidents daily
Oversee the clinical intern program
Engage with clients and assist, as needed
Provide oversight of medication monitoring records
Provide emergency crisis support to clients and complete FD-12 forms for involuntary hospitalizations, as needed
Oversee and complete authorizations and requests for extensions of treatment and care in the Comagine system
Review and approve billable clinical notes, assessments, and clinical documentation completed by BHTs and MH Care Coordinator, as needed
Lead critical incident debriefs and resident care transitions
Oversee SUD and RSS supports and services with the SUD team for clients with Co-Occuring disorders
Drive clients to appointments, as needed
Ensure overall program operations run smoothly
Ensure contract and regulatory compliance with the Department of Behavioral Health and other funding and governing entities
Act as liaison with outside agencies and collaborate with public mental health agencies
Oversee and collect program statistics for clients, demographics, dispositions, etc., and input data into ECW and the CRM systems
Develop monthly and quarterly reports for the Department of Behavioral Health and SOME Leadership
Develop and manage schedules for Crisis Counselors and program coverage
Participate in daily client staffing meetings
Conduct intakes for volunteers and interns
Manage on-call staff and track hours
Oversee program administrative tasks, including ordering supplies and handling invoices
Promote trauma-informed, inclusive, and recovery-oriented team culture
Support with onboarding and training for new employees and practicum students, and support current staff with continuing education and learning
Provide on-call support on weekends
Ensure safety and security procedures are followed and lead emergency response when required
Provide upkeep and general maintenance for the house, including communication with Facilities Management and inputting work orders when necessary
Ensure appropriate department staffing levels in order to meet objectives; Assess, evaluate, and hire new employees as needed
Contribute to budget development, and use sound judgement to leverage resources in accomplishing department goals; Administer budget and comply with SOME financial reporting requirements
Contribute to strategy development and strive to improve department functions and performance; Assist in the development of standards and goals as appropriate
Submit administrative paperwork to Human Resources, Finance, Compliance, and CQI; Refer to the SOME Employee Handbook or policies for guidance
Maintain professional documentation and ensure the program is in compliance with SOME CQI standards
Ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal laws governing the workplace and all department functions
Schedule staff work hours, as needed, and monitor for time and attendance; Approve time cards and requests for leave
Provide direction and guidance to staff members on department operations and procedures

Required

Bachelor's Degree
5-7 yrs experience in Mental Health treatment services
2 yrs supervisory experience
CPR/First-Aid
Driver's License
LICSW or LPC by the District of Columbia Department of Health

Preferred

Master's Degree
7-10 yrs experience in Mental Health treatment services
2-3 yrs experience in a management or supervisory role
