Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, layout, testing and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices
Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval
Analyzes mechanical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Investigates solutions to product or process problems
Consolidates results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects
Conducts investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component or process specifications or requirements
Performs product development activities including parametric CAD modeling, drawing creation, and interpretation/implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
Fluency in English
Proficient in Creo
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
Incumbent must not have ever been denied a DoD Personal Security Clearance
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 25 lbs. to various heights
Ability to work overtime and shifts as needed
Ability to travel CONUS
Ability to climb stairs

Preferred

Machine shop experience and familiarity with hand tools
Hands on support of manufacturing
Experience with Model Based Engineering and GD&T
Additive manufacturing design experience
