Responsibilities
Intercept and resolve follow-ups, clarifications, and routine questions
Prevent unnecessary escalations
Ensure decisions are communicated clearly and accurately
Reduce last-minute emergencies and rediscovered work
Set and enforce weekly operating priorities once leadership intent is clear
Assign owners and confirm completion
Close loops so work does not stall or boomerang
Ensure handoffs between consulting, software, and support functions are clean
Align consulting delivery, software development, and sales support
Resolve priority conflicts between teams
Maintain clarity on what matters now versus later
Keep execution moving even when information is incomplete
Run the weekly operating cadence
Become the default escalation path for execution issues
Own internal sequencing and prioritization
Reduce the President’s involvement in day-to-day execution decisions
Enforce priorities and sequencing
Say “no” to out-of-scope or poorly timed work
Reassign tasks to appropriate owners
Close decisions that have already been made
Represent leadership decisions definitively
Qualification
Required
Operated in a small or mid-sized organization (10–75 people)
Worked directly with a founder or senior executive
Owned cross-functional execution and coordination
Made decisions without perfect information
Enjoyed cleaning up messy systems and making them work
Strong prioritization and judgment
Comfort with ambiguity
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to push back respectfully
Follow-through discipline
Low ego, high ownership
Preferred
Industry expertise is helpful but not required
