Responsibilities

Ensures patients are consistently monitored in the proper location for the duration of activities

Provides appropriate crisis intervention as necessary by anticipating and responding quickly to escalating behaviors, utilizing de-escalation techniques to diffuse the situation, correctly prioritizing safety concerns

Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive recreation therapy program to meet the physical, social, cultural, and recreational needs of patients

Planning and organizing activity therapy, evaluating patients' abilities and behaviors, along with participating in interdisciplinary treatment teams

Required

High School diploma or equivalent

1-2 years of experience working with children/adolescents, geriatric, and/or adults with emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental disabilities
