The intern will promote safety culture, assist with safety documentation, participate in incident investigations, and support safety training initiatives.

Responsibilities
Champions our safety culture by promoting honesty, unity, safety, and quality across all locations and activities and supporting proactive safety practices
Assists with safety documentation and recordkeeping
Participates in incident investigations and assists with documentation and follow-up actions
Supports safety training initiatives
Assist in executing, supporting, and promoting our safety rewards program
Drive engagement and participation in the safety rewards program
Coordinate the distribution of incentives such as gift cards, company-branded items, or public recognition, ensuring a direct link between safe actions and positive outcomes
Collect and analyze safety data and incident trends to measure the program's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
Help verify and maintain formal program documentation and participate in regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and the program's rules
Qualification
Required
1+ year(s) educational experience and currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on Occupational Safety and Health, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related studies
Maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0
Must live in or near Salt Lake City, Utah
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong sense of urgency and accountability
Demonstrates expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Ability to learn and act in a fast-paced environment
Effective task management
High level of motivation and adaptability
Great attitude and desire to learn and grow
