Responsibilities
Oversee job costing, including land planning, civil engineering, mass grading, and utility infrastructure
Maintain the Master Project Budget, tracking soft costs (permits/fees) and hard costs (infrastructure)
Apply Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting for long-term development contracts, particularly where infrastructure milestones trigger revenue events
Manage the Work in Progress (WIP) for multi-year master-planned communities
Act as the financial liaison for Joint Ventures (JV) and equity partners
Oversee builder deposit structures, escrow releases, and construction draw requests for shared infrastructure
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of experience in Real Estate Development or heavy civil construction accounting
Deep understanding of Project Costing and Percentage of Completion
Advanced proficiency in Excel (for Pro-Forma modeling) and development-specific accounting software
Preferred
CPA, CMA, or MBA is highly preferred
Residential Construction experience
