Responsibilities
The Scoping Designer will be responsible for data entry related to PIF scoping including measuring and documenting existing cable/conductor length, Scope Mapping Tool/mapping entry, and project data entry in MDI and/or C55
Creates accurate and detailed scoping drawings, diagrams, and maps for distribution systems using PDF editing software and consulting ArcGIS mapping software
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Basic knowledge of drafting and design practices, related engineering practices, applicable specifications, standards, codes, materials, and equipment necessary to perform routine design assignments for a specific discipline, installation or service
Demonstrated drafting skills and knowledge of mapping symbols
Typically possesses zero to three years of experience
Experience with PDF editing tools
Experience with reading and interpreting utility mapping information via ArcGIS platform or similar
Experience with electric utility design
