Responsibilities
Design, code, test, and implement changes for mainframe applications
Participate in software development lifecycle activities including analysis, design, and deployment
Develop Python components to support mainframe applications
Engage in technical and architectural discussions with cross-functional teams
Collaborate effectively with global virtual teams across multiple time zones
Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as needed
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in Mainframe development
Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2
Experience coding Python components is a plus
Familiarity with System Z and enterprise-level mainframe environments
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global virtual team
Flexible, adaptable, and a strong team player
Preferred
Exposure to large-scale enterprise applications and modern development practices
Understanding of mainframe modernization strategies
