Responsibilities
Proficient management of ETL applications
Supports, administers, and sustains a clustered-server database platform hosted in an enterprise IT environment
Manages diverse database systems, ensuring peak performance, robust security, and high availability provide technical support for incident response, service degradations, outages, and other service interruptions
Investigates hardware and software problems related to the database-hosting infrastructure and perform corrective actions
Provides technical support for incident response, service degradations, outages, and other service interruptions
Design, create, automate, and maintain sophisticated programs that extract, convert, and load data
Identifying data storage needs. Determine the organization's storage requirements. Select the optimal alternative
Data warehouses are created by ETL Engineers based on the needs of an organization
Creating dependable data pipelines to connect systems and transport data from one format to another
When the data warehouse is finished, the ETL Engineer extracts and sends the data to the new system
Quality Control: after the warehouse is operational, the ETL Engineer conduct tests to ensure stability
Debugging. ETL Engineers resolve any warehousing system issues. Collaborate closely with application development teams to design and optimize database schemas
Offer expertise in writing, tuning, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes
Execute and oversee data migration initiatives when required
Develop and execute data migration strategies when necessary
Develop and maintain advanced automation scripts for streamlined database provisioning and management
Enhance monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve database issues
Efficiently manage cloud resources and optimize cost-effectiveness
Maintains comprehensive documentation detailing database configurations, procedures, and best practices
Regularly generates performance and usage reports to support informed decision-making
Drives problem resolution and root cause analysis across the technology stack
Participates in the resolution of database availability, capacity, and performance issues
Contributes to ongoing improvement of internal processes and ETL tools
Participates in infrastructure and organizational initiatives across multiple IT disciplines
Sustains fleet of physical and virtual etl-hosting servers running a mix of operating systems (Open Systems and Windows/Linux Systems) in multiple network environments
Performs daily operations, onsite support, and on-call support for all aspects of ETL software
Works with original equipment manufacturers and/or third-party vendors to resolve performance degradations and outages
Supports and participates in projects relating to the move of systems and services to modernized hosting environments and Cloud capabilities; provides expert advice on configuring database systems to meet the environment and boundary requirements, and customize services to meet new performance goals
Performs other tasks as required by Vencedor and the Government contracting office
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must possess and maintain Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
Must possess a CompTIA Security+ certification
Minimum 8-10 years of experience with designing, building, and managing databases
Proficiency in managing a diverse range of ETL applications
Ability to translate customer requirements into database structure
Strong grasp of advanced database security practices
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Mastery of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation
Experience with creating and formulating workflows
