Lead Process Engineer - Continuous Improvement & Operational Impact
Gables Search Group is a well-respected, financially sound industrial manufacturer of environmentally friendly products. They are seeking a Lead Process Engineer to act as a high-level change agent and strategic partner, utilizing Lean tools to drive improvements across manufacturing, logistics, and office systems.
Responsibilities
Champion the organization’s Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy, acting as a change agent to deliver breakthrough improvements in safety, productivity, quality, and operational costs
Design and evaluate integrated production systems, including logistics, material flow, cost analysis, and human work factors to ensure peak efficiency across all departments
Lead cross-functional project teams focused on root cause analysis, utilizing Lean tools (5S, VSM, QFD) to develop corrective actions for business performance gaps
Develop and mentor training programs for all levels of the organization, educating staff on proprietary manufacturing methods, work standardization, and competency-based training
Partner with Senior Leadership to develop and implement long-term manufacturing plans, manage CI project budgets, and ensure fiscal expectations and milestones are met
Qualification
Required
10+ years of manufacturing experience to lead our high-level initiatives is required
Bachelor's in Engineering (BSME or BSIE); an MBA will be given significant preference for their ability to merge engineering precision with business strategy
Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
No remote as this is an onsite position
Full-time, permanent W-2 employee
No relocation
Located in the Brown Deer, Wisconsin area
10 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in paper production, printing, or paper converting is highly preferred)
Proven mastery of Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, VSM, QFD, TPS) and the ability to implement them from the ground up
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, determine financial payback for large-scale projects, and lead cross-functional teams
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to, value, and incorporate input from all levels of the organization
A stable and reliable work history with no frequent 'job-hopping'
Being a US citizen or Green Card holder with a residence within a 45-minute drive of Brown Deer, WI
Preferred
Experience in paper production, printing, or paper converting is highly preferred
MBA or advanced leadership training is preferred
