Financial Analyst (Payroll Travel Expense Processor)-Junior

Responsibilities

Reviews, audits and approves employee/consultant expense reports according to rules in the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)
Assists employees/consultants with setting up travel through the booking site and local travel agency agent to ensure travel arrangements comply with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)
Reviews/Updates the forms, policies and procedures for Travel/Non-Travel Expense Report submissions
Assists with processing semi-monthly payroll
Generates and reconciles associated payroll reports
Ensures accurate and timely remittance of federal, state and local payroll tax withholdings
Files federal, state and local payroll tax returns
Remits employee deferrals and employer contributions to the 401(k) plan
Researches payroll issues, as needed

Required

HS Diploma or equivalent
1 year of relevant work experience
1 year of experience processing multi-state, in-house payroll and/or processing expense reports
Familiarity with JTR (Joint Travel Regulations) and state/federal payroll laws
Basic to mid-level experience with Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail and adherence to regulations and established policies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
U.S. Citizenship (required due to AMEWAS contractual requirements)

Preferred

BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
Knowledge of payroll processing
Experience in Deltek Costpoint
JTR (Joint Travel Regulations) experience
