Postdoctoral Scientist in GPCR structural pharmacology, USC, Los Angeles
The University of Southern California's Gati Lab is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join their interdisciplinary research program focused on G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) biology and pharmacology. The role involves conducting advanced research, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to mentorship and teaching opportunities.
Responsibilities
Conduct advanced research in the field of GPCR structural pharmacology, including laboratory experiments, data collection, analysis, and interpretation
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team
Prepare scientific reports and manuscripts
Present findings at conferences
Mentorship or teaching opportunities to support junior researchers or students while contributing to ongoing research projects
Qualification
Required
Experience in Biochemistry: Recombinant protein expression in Sf9 and mammalian expression system. Purification of membrane proteins
Experience in Single particle Cryo-EM: Single-particle cryo-EM analysis of membrane proteins, including GPCR complexes
Experience in GPCR Pharmacology: Cell-based signaling assays (e.g., BRET-based assays), receptor trafficking studies, or advanced imaging approaches
Experience in Computational Biology: Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, structure-based drug design, or protein/antibody engineering
