Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth systems engineering to analyze the performance and interdependencies of BAE Systems spacecraft subsystems and ground systems
Develop and document clear, concise commands and telemetry for spacecraft operations, ensuring seamless communication throughout the development, integration, and test phases
Manage and maintain spacecraft configurations via Flight Software Tables, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the mission lifecycle
Design, implement, and maintain command and telemetry systems and tools for Spacecraft Integration and Test and BAE Systems Ground Systems
Collaborate with teams to resolve anomalies and issues, utilizing strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Perform additional duties as required to support team objectives
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment

Required

BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 6 or more years of related experience
Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education
Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with large, distributed teams
Solid interpersonal and leadership skills, with experience working with senior-level engineers and multiple disciplines
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through on-the-job training and professional growth
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, including real-time anomaly resolution
Proven troubleshooting skills, with the ability to translate user issues into actionable solutions

Preferred

Additional experience helpful in the following technologies: COSMOS or other command & telemetry platform
Ruby or Python scripting
