Chief Information Officer

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain an IT investment portfolio and Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) process in alignment with DOE Order 200.1A
Serve as the primary authority for the site’s cybersecurity posture, ensuring compliance with NIST 800-37/53/171 and preparing for CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) requirements
Oversee the protection of National Security Systems (NSS) and unclassified information in accordance with Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) standards
Implement a risk-based cybersecurity program that includes real-time situational awareness and threat mitigation for both IT and operational technology (OT) systems
Manage IT project lifecycles using approved project management frameworks, ensuring that performance measures meet DOE G 415.1-1 standards
Advise the internal executive team and DOE federal counterparts on IT resource allocation, security weaknesses (POAMs), and technical innovations to reduce mission costs

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
15+ years of experience in IT leadership, with a strong background in nuclear operations or government contracting
In-depth knowledge of DOE Orders (205.1, 200.1), FAR/DFARS, and NIST cybersecurity frameworks
Experience managing secure enterprise architectures and large-scale data systems within regulated environments
United States Citizenship
Active DOE Q Security Clearance
