Software Engineer
Fidelity Investments is seeking a hardworking Agile Software Engineer to join a new team that is building mid-tier and backend applications. The role involves creating innovative solutions while collaborating within a high functioning Scrum team to enhance user experience and take ownership of team commitments.

Responsibilities
Create and influence innovative solutions that meet not only functional, but also performance, scalability and reliability requirements
Work as a member of a high functioning Scrum team to help drive the next generation user experience
Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of team commitments
Help team achieve its commitments beyond just finishing your own personal tasks
Designing and developing applications including new developments, enhancements, maintenance, and support
Continuous collaboration with partners
Iterative understanding of requirements
Following Fidelity best practices / methodologies
Thorough understanding of the technology roadmap
Advancement to design / development process
Providing on-call production support on rotation basis
Triage and execute root cause analysis
Creatively solving new/interesting problems in a dynamic environment
Application development experience on a public cloud – Azure or AWS
Experience in Oracle PL/SQL or understanding of working with relational databases and familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica
Knowledge on CD process and tools and practices (preferably GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory etc.)
Ability to communicate software engineering and/or development concepts and principles
Design, develop, and implement data complex solutions, including alignment to coding standards, and building/running appropriate unit and integration tests and deployment scripts
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate with other developers and co-workers including distributed team members
Agile/Scrum experience or basic knowledge
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
Expertise and experience in designing and developing applications including new developments, enhancements, maintenance, and support
Ability to triage and execute root cause analysis, while also creatively solving new/interesting problems in a dynamic environment
Application development experience on a public cloud – Azure or AWS
