Senior Level, Lead/StaffThe State of Delaware's Attorney General's Office is seeking a Deputy Attorney General to join the Family Division's Criminal & Delinquency Unit. This role focuses on supervising Deputy Attorneys General, managing caseloads related to child abuse and domestic violence, and performing various legal functions such as drafting motions and negotiating plea agreements.

Responsibilities
Supervise Deputy Attorneys General and support staff working on adult criminal cases within Family Court’s jurisdiction
Carry a specialized caseload of child abuse cases and attending court
Cross-train with juvenile delinquency cases, which includes both felonies and misdemeanors
Assist the Unit Head in the directing and managing of other Deputy Attorneys General, administrative and support operations within the Unit, coordination of assignments and training for all unit members, and other managerial tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience prosecuting adult criminal cases
Strong knowledge of criminal law and procedure
Ability to evaluate criminal cases, determine resolutions, and anticipate legal issues
Ability to research accurately and effectively
Ability to learn and apply the relevant laws and court rules
Ability to develop a good working relationship with other Deputy Attorneys General, support staff and Court personnel
Membership in Delaware Bar
Preferred
Experience with child abuse and domestic violence cases
